Simpson Hybrid devices are the only FIA 8858-2010 approved Head and Neck Restraints on the market that provide protection in frontal, offset and lateral impacts. Designed to allow easy exit from the car without the risk of becoming entangled with other equipment, the device sits on the back/shoulders rather than over the chest or collarbone like older HANS-style devices. In addition, they deliver superior comfort and agility. An evolution of the Hybrid Pro Rage, the new Hybrid Sport improves the design and technology to give the driver an upgraded product within the same price bracket as the previous model. The Hybrid Sport is lighter, with 20% less weight for the large size, including hardware; its DuPont carbon/polymer construction is streamlined, modern and attractive with defined wings for improved harness control. Sliding tethers and the multi-tether system enhance lateral range of motion and the field of view. The Hybrid Sport is certified SFI 38.1 and FIA. These M61 anchors replace the original Hans posts. Both the M61 helmet anchors and the quick-release tethers/straps are included with the M61 Quick Release option. HANS - Post Anchor: These tethers allow the driver to use the Hybrid device with helmets that already have standard HANS anchors fitted (or where approved to fit anchors retrospectively). Approved for helmets meeting FIA 8858-2002/FIA 8858-2010 standard or higher. M61 - Quick Release: These tethers allow the driver to quickly release the Hybrid device by pulling the cord attached to the helmet. Approved for helmets meeting FIA 8858-2010 standard or higher.
