The Arai SKV-R has been developed according to Arai’s leading safety philosophy and delivers maximum protection for karting. The extremely round and smooth outer shell, following the Egg Shaped Form (ESF), ensures impact energy is dissipated efficiently. This allows the helmet to slide along the surface rather than come to an abrupt stop, significantly reducing rotational forces on the head and neck. The helmet features the advanced VAS (Variable Axis System) visor mechanism. Thanks to a lower pivot point the upper part of the shell remains stronger and rounder. The 8 mm higher visor opening also provides a larger vertical field of view — ideal for better visibility of the track and flag signals. The interior has been completely redesigned with comfort and fit in mind. The lining is removable and washable. For an optimal fit both the lining and cheek pads are optionally available in different thicknesses.
